UN Thread Insert

In the unified thread system, the minimum pitch diameter for a 2B hole (medium fit) or 3B hole (close fit) are the same, while the maximum pitch diameter is greater on the 2B hole (medium fit). Recoil taps for unified threads are made to a 3B hole (close fit) tolerance.

Manufactured from corrosion-resistant 18-8 stainless steel wire, our unified coil threaded inserts for metal are designed to quickly repair damaged threads in soft metal materials. They can also be used to reinforce tapped holes and protect against thread stripping and wear. These unified coil threaded inserts provide strong internal threads and are temperature resistant up to 800℉.
